I don't know much about welding, but we have a guy on these forums, named John who does. He is the author of this post: http://www.asingularcreation.com/Forums ... php?t=4905

Not sure if he will stumble upon this thread. So if he doesn't you may want to ask him.

all the best,
Joe

Hello Artboy.
I would say the best place to start is to go to a book store and buy a book on welding. This way you can learn about all the differnt kinds of welding and welding equipment.
The best place to get the equipment would be at welding supply houses.
They will have everything you need. And they all sell used and reconditioned welding equipment. And the people have knowledge about welding and welding suppies.
Also, stay away from the cheap stuff. Which ofcourse you will not find at welding supply houses. I would say the best
and to look for is Miller.
Good Luck. And go to this wedsite.

Thank you for the suggestions but after doing some research over the weekend, I decided to go with a company called Longevity. Their website is www.longevity-inc.com

The unit i got a nice deal on was the 4in1 machine that does acdc tig and has a plasma cutter. I love miller and used them in school, but i could not afford their welding equipment. Here is the link to the one i am getting :D !!!! I am super excited and hope it works out. The reviews are very positive on this machine.
