the thing that irks me is all these come ons with no phone numbers-they expect you to ship a painting without knowing if the so called gallery even exists.
built a cool shipping case for a painting that almost got sent to South Africa till we figured it was a very complicated scam with a huge come on where they told people they would fly you in to the show they were going to do for you-These bozos should get into politics----forgot most of them are in politics .......
here is a typical L.A. scam you pay 25 bucks per piece to to be juried into a co-op gallery with a snooty come on that says you are useless unless you make the the cut......they do this jury thing 4 times a year-- i did the the math 75 people at say 100 bucks each times 4 times a year ---pays for the rent on the expensive space plus salarys etc.... if accepted you get to be in group shows once a year=tou fight for how many pieces and location.... 200 artists vie for exposure and like the music bizz's pay to play -pay to show is a big Los Angeles crap shoot that keeps artists from banding together to fight the parasites who are nothing more than boiler room criminals... bla bla bla ---
