Digital skull rendering practice.

Postby AmmoBot-HB » Tue Oct 07, 2014 9:23 pm

I've made the plunge into digital and I've been hammering away at CTRL+Paint's video lessons on digital. He really is a good teacher and shows you how to dive in. For this particular assignment he included he gave us the outline of a skull, as well as the skull itself. My job was to render that skull over the outline provided. I've done smaller studies in the past two days, but this is really the first large thing I took time to render. For getting my feet wet I can't say it was too bad at all.

Just a reminder though that this was practice from CTRL+Paint's video lesson. The goal was to practice rendering and not worry about the linework (which was provided) or proportions.

How do you think I did? Where should I really go from here with digital? Am I on the right path? Thanks in advance for your time :!:

I think you did a very good job. Are you using a wacom? The detail is excellent and very accurate. You should definitely continue to harness your new skill.
