Lets call this Pay rise

Postby Endlessfun » Mon Jun 17, 2013 11:29 am

Following on from Eddie -insidious picture reminded me I once got stuck on a picture and saved it from falling into nonsense (hahhah only my opinion)
I worked in an office and there were recurring periods of downsizing and redundancies and generally being harassed and pressured, and in the midst of this fear with us running around in what felt like circles to look busy. The boss has a pay rise or was it promotion.. Anyway he is **** a doodling while his lieutenants stalk the cave with scissors.
Its not very well defined at this scale but some figures have paper bags over there heads and some carry there desks with them.
Little me thought at the time I was being audacious adding sound effects..

I think any look at corporate insanity will be relevant for years to come, unfortunately.
Your style is light and sharp edged - like something sprung out of a copy machine
and the middle-man going "cock-a-doodle-do" is a touch of ironic hilarity.
Thank You, E

Dont know - postcard from the office home..
speaking of contemporary issues an unnerving challenge is how to handle the 'all watched over by machines of loving grace' digital world we are drowning in.
Take your fav artists and imagine what thye would do ?
Goodbye Emile Nolde and hello gustav klimt

Thanks for the Nolde tip - I'm saying hello instead of good-bye - I saw that pig and it
looks like he's speaking English - next stop on the evolutionary go-round.
I will always greet Klimt with a loving smile.

I have only just taken notice of his work since borrowing his first name, totally random

I like the movement that is portrayed in this painting, and the letters; Ive always found it hard to make letters look good in a piece of art! Good job!

Yes I wanted to suggest people manically running in a circle. The office space has become a cave. I suppose by extention the higher up the heriachy the better the skins/suits and baubles.
I had the purist notion that text had no place in a picture -now I think anything goes but boredom
