I'm still working on this new style; I believe I'm making progress.

I love the Wind Maker and Annalise. The flower could do with more highlights like the wind makers dress as it looks a little dull and you have missed some shadowing on Bridgette you have a shadow on her neck but none anywhere else.

But they are all excellently done :D What materials do you use as the effect you are producing has a certain texture that makes you want to reach out and touch it you produce
illiant work.

WOW!!! These are all
illiant!
I agree with Deanne on the flower needing a bit more depth/shadow/tonal value.
BUT...I just love all the rest of these paintings! I especially love the skin tones in the last and the hair is so very well rendered.
BRAVO!!!! This style is definately worth your pursueing, IMHO.

Thank you very much for the constructive criticism! I`ll keep the advice in mind for next time.

Well I dont use a single medium, I always mix. For Wind Maker I used oil paint, tempera, pastel, and graphite.

Wow i am amazed at what mediums you use.....you should jot down your technique in the Resources section would be good to try it out. doubt would get as good results but worth a go..can't wait to see your next pieces :D

Didn't mean to be too critical I hope i didn't offend :(

The first one is very successful in style, colours, textures. Definitely explore this further, it's really good.

No need to worry; you were very fair with your critiques and I found them quite helpful :)

Thank you Erika!

Perhaps it matters little what your approch is. Your work will always be outstanding.
Perfection is what drives an artist.
The inability to achieve perfection is what creates a work of art.
