My 4th, and rather conservitive, abstract tile mural...

Postby Makena Tile » Thu Jun 05, 2008 2:07 am

This one is intentionally subtle. For a conservative person perhaps. Designed to fit in a rectangular wall behind a stove- with 8" space around it.

I've since decided the space between each tile strip should have been wider. I have tumbled crushed recycled glass (green gold and clear) embedded within casting resin in there but you can hardly see it.

The waves remind me of fire and smoke. And the colors would fit very well behind a black stove. The kind that the pipe gos into the wall.
Perfection is what drives an artist.
The inability to achieve perfection is what creates a work of art.

I would have to say the narrow bands remind me of ice drippings frozen on a window. Very nice!! This would be ausome at say 8ft X 16ft... bet you could sell it in NYC :D

all the best... Bruce

Architects?

Postby BAReam » Fri Jun 06, 2008 11:36 am

Makena Tile... I don't know who you work with currently, if anyone, but I would suggest developing a rapport with some high-end contemporary architects to get your work on a grander scale... DON"T throw in the towel! That would be a waste of talent.

all the best...Bruce
