Well, you have to really find the cat in there. Since the painting is 36x48, it is very easy to see it on the canvas but almost imposible on the little photo, so I attached a fragment of the small details..Note the caged dog looking out at the cats, and the caged cat looking out at the mouse... That's what I feel sometimes about my own life (: (Kidding)
Anyway, please tell me what you think..

Irina, where's the dog? I only see the cat. I like the fact that you added all these elements to the still life, it makes it more interesting. So which animal are you? Erika

the dog is on the left side of the painting, down in the corner...
Used to be a cat, now this days - dog, an old dog... (:

A question for you - everytime I look at the number of "clicks" next to somebody's post, I can't help but notice that you would always get some SUPER number, compare to the fellows above and below your post. If everybody else would generaly get 500 clicks over time, YOU would have 3,000.00! Can you explane me that!?!?!

Are you referring to the number of views next to my posts? I think that has to do a lot with the number of replies. More replies=more views. Or sometimes more views= more replies. I never analyzed them before lol. ERika

I like this one Irina. Very nice still life and I do like the little additions you have made. They tell a story. One thing that I think that you can do to make this even better is to work on the shadow cast by the vase. Right now, I am pretty sure where your main light source is coming from, but that is not evident from the table. A well place shadow done correctly will add even more depth and realism to the painting.

all the best,
Joe

You know, Joe, at first I purposely skipped the shadow, but you made me rethinking... You are right, it will look better with one...Thanks.

Yes, I also think it would look better with a shadow. There is some mystery about this still life, that keeps you coming back to it. Well done. Erika

OK, now it's done! Thank to all - much better with the shadows on the table! Photo doesn't show, but the real painting has a translucent depth into it... Actually as with all my latest work, I make em transparent and shiny, but my canon camera doesn't really show this fine details!
Thanks to all again! You've been a great support and help!
