Hey everybody..... I want to know how boh these ptgs have come out. They r both on canvas & done in acrylics.Ur opinions will help me improve.Just keep it gentle though:)

These are both actually very good. One recommendation I have is to vary your value in the first painting. Everything is very bold. The greenery in the background shouldn't be as defined and bold as the greenery in the foreground.Same with the second painting. Very nice, but trees should be a bit more faint as they gain greater distance.

Dont be hard on yourself - these are good. Work on your tonal differances which impact fore and backgrounds. Such as in your second peice.. the path.. if you add depth to the diminishing / vanishing point and lighten as you get wider, the impression of depth and distance is applied.
Keep it up.

I like your paintings, the colours of the water and the bushes need toning down alittle, and the path way in the second painting needs to be toned down alittle, that all, they are really very good

Yes I agree with above replays. Try to incorporate more colours in your palette.

Very good pictures. I will offer my opinions but am in no way criticising your art. In the top picture (very nice) maybe in the water could use some more white indicating waves and white caps and around the rocks where the waves crash into the rocks. In the second picture (also very nice) I think maybe laying down some different colors in an underpainting would be good. towards the top of the pictue it looks as though sky is breaking through the trees. It also looks this way at the bottom and with the angle of the view you would not see the sky coming through the trees. So if the under painting was darker towards the bottom it would seem more like you were seeing the ground through the trees and the sky towards the top. Also I think some others hit on what my first thought was which is in creating distance as things get further away less detail and lighter tone. Very good
