The photo is actually quite bad. The Aurora is painted in glitter paint and is somewhat three dimensional. Thoughts?

This is pretty good for just starting out. I wish you had a better quality photo so I could see the painting better. I love the lone tree in the foreground. It really stands out well.

It's looking pretty cool, and yes, a higher res image would help in seeing the texture of the sky. I'm really interested in seeing what's going on in the ground with the grass/what stalks? The sky colors just above them are blended rather well. Perhaps in the background you could add another strong element in order to recede the focus of the piece, from lone plant, to background to...distant cloud or mountain, or even abstraction!
