The contract they sent did require me paying for publicity. So, I thought it might not be a good offer. Thanks for confirming my suspicions.

Maybe this theme was too strong for the art group that declined it. Keep trying other groups. It is a good piece.

I like him. I agree that he looks better without the stone background.

Is it balanced?

Here is a photo of my "life at the Pond" sculpture. The plant life is still movable or can be added to if necessary. I am just not sure if the sculpture is balanced. I would appreciate any comments. Thanks

Thanks Joe. It is about the size of a real snake as are the frog and catapillar. Seems my sculpture will end up being almost real life size. Didn't plan it that way, just happened.

Yes, it is all beaded around a tube. The beads are about the size of a pin head so you can get some good detail.

Life at the Pond

I am working on a new beaded sculpture which will incorporate three critters and plant life. I have completed the three critters: catapillar, frog and snake. Here is the snake. The background is just cloth which will not be in the finished piece.

On the tree, the truck has a thick group of wires under the beads. Otherwise the tree is all beads, besides the rock base.

On the snakes, the beads are beaded around a plastic tube with a wire inside. That way the snake can be put into all kinds of positions.
