Re: Italian Girl in Tradtiional Costume

One thing I like is the gradation on the face. It is soft with slow transitions.

Re: Remains - oil on canvas

I like the painting definitely, has a style and cool aura about it. If I was to critique it (disclaimer I'm forcing this critique ie trying to find fault) I would say the background and foreground are not distinct enough and the distance is somewhat lost. I think the biggest reason for this is the s...

Re: Logo for school

If I had to pick I would go with the third one.

Make sure you sharpen up your patience and take your time to make the final real nice.

Identifity this Sculpture PLEASE

Hello

I would love to find out who did this sculpture I am assuming it is a classically done sculpture.

Some one wants me to do a mural of this and I cant find the sculpture and or even a similar pose. I can find a similar pose in a female version but not a male version.

Digital painting

Here is a digital painting I did for a soup kitchen fund raiser. I donated it to their fundraiser. It took around 5 hrs. Photoshop. I added canvas filter at the end. I am happy with it , not thrilled. I haven't done a ton of digital painting, eager to get into color. Hope to get more into this mediu...

Re: Here is my website too...

Your website is nice, a good start. Its really a never ending task. I also had a look at your blogs, to be honest the one about the drawing not so much, you may want to consider making the blogs a bit longer. I especially liked the blog about your grandma that was very touching, plus it had a good a...

Re: How do you hold your pencil, when drawing.

Post some of your work so we can see the product you are talking about so we can talk about different artist's techniques of production. Otherwise I can only see this as vailed attempt at circumventing advertising costs to attract people to your community art site. What say you to my comments? What...

How do you hold your pencil, when drawing.

For the start and the longest time I always would draw with my bottom of my hand the pinkie area touching the page. I always knew about other artist and how they would hold the pencil far back so none of their hand was touching and always thought that was odd. An artist I respected and admired about...
