Using manual Line-art for Digital coloring

Just a handy little tutorial I found while looking through YouTube. Most tutorials seem to assume that you'll be using "Digital Line-art", so I found the information provided here to be quite useful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65yvdX-ltGg (30:28 in length) ...I did not make this... (I ...

Re: Smiling Alice

So I guess I lied.... As of right now, I lack the expertise to color this picture (or any other picture), and so I might not get around to finishing this particular piece. There is still a world of things that I must learn, before I can begin to work in color with any form of confidence. I now inten...

Re: When might you be "Successful" as an artist

Denalester, indeed so... And it can certainly be a struggle to maintain one's own creativity amongst the myriad of "How-To" (not to mention one's own personal idealizations) Hmm... In achieving a "success", would you say you put more value into 'Expression' or 'Technical Prowess'...

Re: I Tree

Seeing that raven gives me some pretty happy giggles XD
I would suggest darkening the tree portion as compared to the other parts, as the eye beneath the raven is somewhat lost.

Re: Smiling Alice

Hmm... I will be returning to this picture later, to adapt in the advice from Jenn_Iam (Thank you), and after this, I will attempt to color it (I am literally afraid 8p). As I have limited tools, and very little experience in working with color, I'll be doing this digitally (undo feature XD). Eddieb...

Re: I Tree

So far, It's a very cool picture, and an awesome looking concept.
I really like the extra details you added "inside" of the eyes, and the bark-y portions have a very nice "intensity' to it.
hmm... I bet the raven must love the fruit from this tree!

About liturature, music, and other forms of art....

...I tend to post a lot all at once <(o.O<) (>O.o)> Anyways... I'm just curious about what other expressive mediums people might be interested in... Art is very a "Big" word after all. Ball rolling information: Music: I like a wide variety of music, with particular interest in Rap, Dub-Ste...

Re: Someone HELP me!

Hmm... If it is that you feel stuck in a particular style (Like Jenn_Iam says) then I would actually suggest you COMPLETELY STOP DRAWING!!! Not permanently of course... Spend time looking at things / thinking up things, and imagine how you would draw them. Don't actually draw anything! Just imagine....
