Re: Let the Games Begin II

Thanks Carl. I think they would look like my 2003 paintings. Except it's not so easy to have as much passion for expressionism now as it was in my early youth. That's my opinion. But there are those few exceptions, of course. 'Night.

I had in mind to use colors I didn't usually, colo...

Re: Let the Games Begin II

It's alright Carl. I found in my storage a portrait I'd started in '04. It fits in the 'abstract' category. I'll see if I can post it one of these days. Also, thanks for your continuing interest in this 'contest'. And thanks to those who watch this forum.

Re: Let the Games Begin II

I know what you mean. It's not easy to transcend the heat of the sun. 2012 was a very hot and dry year where I live. The temperatire got up to 115 degrees farenheit. Ironically, it's the oil field workers who feel the burn of the sun the most.

Re: Let the Games Begin II

I like it. The mix of impressionism and outlines of a violin and volcano go well together. There is a feeling of regret though in the flames.

Re: Let the Games Begin II

You see this drawing in terms of spatial dynamics. You choose a point on the picture plane and view the surroundings from the bias of the point you like. In my opinion it is freedom of expression to see this way. It's a journey.

http://www.asingularcreation.com/Gallery/albums/userpics/20198/normal_IMG_4931.JPG Hey Carl, how are you doing. This one is called Battle for the Muse. It is a work in progress. It is a picture that depicts the twists and turns of my psyche trying to free itself to depict an object of beauty. As a ...

Re: Let the Games Begin II

Hey Carl, been busy moving so I haven't done much painting.. I like these paintings because they show your continuing dedication to this challenge. I can see in your brushstrokes a yearning for expression. In some instances I can see an emotion coming through but it's just a 'ghost' glimmer. So far....

I'm doing okay. Very good artwork here Carl. I daresay it is surrealistic and abstract.

Re: Let the Games Begin II

Re: Let the Games Begin II

Hey Carl, good evening to you as well. The reason why I haven't gone to college is that people vex me too much.. and I already have a responsibility. So it's down to anything I can learn on my own watching youtube, through google searches, books, and other people. Incidentally, I been reading more b...

Re: Let the Games Begin II

A woman dancing in and out of the void huh. Lol .. I prefer letting my forms be rough hewn when it comes to abstracts. It gives the impression of color pencil use. Also, your impression of the forms in my paintings becoming 'more' means to me a point of inspiration for other artists

Re: Let the Games Begin II

I'd interpret it as a whirlpool given your title of it. It's expressive but doesn't leave room for the viewer to appreciate that.

http://www.asingularcreation.com/Gallery/albums/userpics/20198/normal_FullSizeRender~2.jpg This one is called "The Contest". If I could give a hint as to it's meaning it would be that it is in the spirit of a Tennessee Williams play. Also, my latest painting posts in my gallery and here i...

Re: Let the Games Begin II

Hi Carl, Suppose a person seeing through the eyes of Hitler or Bundy was an unfortunate incident of the mind's projection.. I suppose I could paint today, if my moving to another house doesn't get too hectic. Also, I doubt my paintings would last 1000 years.

Re: Let the Games Begin II

Hi Carl, I haven't painted since the last time I posted.. but I'll respond to your post.. Suppose you could see through other's eyes, would you then not say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder?.. Also, what is true for the moment, may not be true over time.. those questions, given my own perso...
