As far as my professional career goes, I graduated from California Polytechnic State Univ., San Luis Obispo, CA with a B.S. degree in Applied Art & Design - Graphic Design.

After graduating I was immediately hired as a Graphic Designer/Illustrator for the University of California, where over time I became Lead Designer, and then Art Director for the Special Projects Design Team. These rewarding assignments resulted in numerous National and International Design Awards including National, and International "Best of Show" awards for graphic design.

After 10 years, I was ready for a new challenge. My goal of opening my own art studio was finally realized. This allowed me new freedoms that I hadn't had before. This presented new challenges that helped me to grow as a designer and artist. Over time numerous opportunities came my way to work on exciting projects for companies such as Apple Computer, Time-Warner, Fender Magazine, Pacific Telephone, Fifth Avenue Channel, Aramark Corporation, as well as numerous other businesses and Design firms within the San Francisco Bay Area.

I'm sure there are many who would agree that life can change in a moment. Certain events can come out of nowhere and completely change the direction of your life. This happened to me in 2000, when life as I knew it changed forever. Situations took place that resulted in my leaving CA for AZ. It was here that I learned that every day is a gift from God that we should cherish, and never take for granted. Not one of us is guaranteed of another day.

Since moving to AZ, I married my wife Kat, who is the greatest treasure in my life. And I'm now living out a dream that I've had ever since I first picked up a color crayon. And that is to paint. For years I have been on an odyssey with my paintbrush. And that's why my art studio is appropriately called "Paintbrush Odyssey". I'm on a journey to bring to life the glory of God's creation, with the purpose of bringing some peace and hope in a world that is so desperately in need of it.
