The Biker and The Granny (Excerpt) Work in progress by eddieblz on Mon Dec 10, 2012 10:55 pm
2 am comes too... early. With a rocking motion he swings his feet toward his left and over the side of the bed. The momentum pulling him up into a sitting position, his feet hanging loosely over the side. Reaching over he taps the button on top of the alarm, quieting it's screeching sound. ( He's never been one to hit the snooze, it's just better to get up all at once and get it over with... at least thats what he's always figured.) Now he rotates his feet at his ankles as they hang their and twists his shoulders back and forth loosening himself to be ready to take the weight of his body when he stands. "Man it sucks getting older. I'm just not impressed at all", he mumbles to himself. Then off the bed he slides on to his feet straitening himself into a standing position then gingerly walks around his bed to the bathroom, not wanting to stub his toe on something in the dark. I haven't been here for awhile. I knew writing every day or even week was going to be tough for me. I've been working on a watercolor of red and white poppies. It is going well. I thought I was more of an abstract/impressionistic painter, but I seem to like painting realism with lots of depth and color. This suprises me, because usually I think, "Well if you want to make it look just like it is then take a photo." I admire the skill of painters who can actually make it look like a photo, I just didn't think I would go in that direction. Recently I've applied to teach a 5th grade class on the Apache Reservation. It means a big move, getting rid of a lot of extra stuff, and rebalancing myself in new surroundings. I feel excited and wary. I think it would be fun/interesting/exciting to paint the indian children. They have beautiful skin and eyes. Anyway, that is all I have for now. I wil try to get back to this sooner next time.

Do artist think the same way like everyone by emmaessien on Sun Jul 01, 2012 2:54 am
Everyday i keep playing this track of thought, guess what the thought is,''do artist think the same way like everyone''.The artist mind is a very complex arena. The artist mind is like a castle with plenty of gold and silver within. The artist mind has the ability to generate something unimaginable. The artist to me has the strongest imagination among every normal being. The artist mind makes him view the future in the present. It makes you feel You know what is coming, what to do next, what is wrong, what is right.Sometimes the artist mind predicts the outcome of his work before the artist completes his or her works. The artist mind also has the ability to condemn it own creation.Everyone could admire the artist work, but to the artist it might be his worst piece. This makes an artist unique to me.The social life and interaction of an artist who has strong imagination is affected negatively and positively sometimes. And artist can imagine his or her friends actions,moves,attitude,character,mood,temperament...
