"All Women" Juried Art Competition

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces an "All Women" Juried Art Competition for the month of January 2012. The gallery would like to be able to exhibit only the best art that a women artist can submit with any 2D media, in any style and about any subject matter. Women are encouraged to submit their art regardless of where they reside and regardless of their experience or education in the art field. A group exhibition of the top ten finalists will be held online at the Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery during the month of February 2012. Awards will be for 1st through 5th places and in addition 5 artists will be recognized with Honorable Mention awards. Winners of the "All Women" Art Exhibition will receive extensive worldwide publicity in the form of email marketing, 70+ press release announcements, 55+ event announcements, social media marketing and increased website traffic in order to make the art world aware of the artist's accomplishments. 2012 Artists' Residencies at I-Park

I-Park is pleased to announce that application materials are now available online for the 2012 residency season in the following disciplines: visual arts, music composition / sound sculpture / design, moving image, creative writing, and landscape / garden design. The program is offered free of charge to accepted / invited applicants, though there is a $30 application processing fee. I-Park provides a private bedroom, private studio, artists' meal program, and some shared amenities: library, common area, kitchen, wireless internet. I-Park is a 450-acre woodland retreat in rural East Haddam, Connecticut. The property consists of ponds, hills, streams, stone outcroppings and sheer cliffs. It has wild fields and new growth forest, as well as miles of stonewalls and walking trails. I-Park aspires to take these natural gifts and create a special space where the important work being done by solitary individuals in their artistic and intellectual pursuits is encouraged and celebrated - a living, three-dimensional environment / community uniquely conducive to the creative process. read more

Mystery Build is an art contest developed by two artists to inspire creativity. Purchase a Mystery Build Materials Kit. Create a work of art using ONLY the materials in the Kit. Upload photos or videos of your creation. Over $10,000 in cash prizes. Winners are selected by a panel of judges and online public voting. The specific materials in the Kit will be unknown to you at the time of purchase, but you can expect to find some common sculpting materials like wood, metal, clay, and fiber. Two-Point Perspective, Depth, and Accuracy

Two-point perspectives differ from one-point perspectives in their use of a second vanishing point. They also differ in another way: two-point perspectives never have horizontal lines. All lines except verticals are drawn to a vanishing point.
